JobTrackr ("the extension," "we," "our") is a browser extension that helps you track job applications by detecting job postings as you browse and saving them to a Google Sheet that you own and control. This policy explains what data the extension handles, how it is used, and what it is never used for.

Summary

JobTrackr reads job-posting information from pages you visit and writes it only to the Google Sheet you connect. It does not collect your personal data, does not sell or share your data with third parties, and does not track your browsing for advertising or analytics.

What the extension accesses

Job-posting information. When you view a job posting on a supported site or a page that publishes standard job-posting data, JobTrackr reads publicly available details from that page — such as the job title, company name, location, posting URL, and (where available) salary. This information is read only to let you save it to your own tracker.

Your Google Sheet URL. You provide the URL of a Google Sheet you own so the extension can write your saved applications to it. This URL is stored locally in your browser and is used only to sync your data to that sheet.

Data you enter. If you add or edit an application manually, the information you type is treated the same way as detected job data — saved to your Google Sheet.

How your data is used

The only thing JobTrackr does with the information above is save your job applications to the Google Sheet you designate. Data flows from the page you are viewing (or the form you fill in) to your own spreadsheet. That is the entire purpose of the extension.

Where your data is stored

Your job-application data lives in two places, both under your control:

• Your browser's local storage, used to hold recently detected jobs and your settings (such as your connected sheet URL and your list of enabled sites) on your own device.
• Your Google Sheet, which you own and can view, edit, export, or delete at any time.

JobTrackr does not operate its own database of your applications and does not retain your job data on any server we control beyond passing it to your Google Sheet.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles.
• We do not track your general browsing history. The extension only reads job-posting details on pages where you use it, not your activity across the web.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or payment information.

Permissions

JobTrackr requests access to websites in order to detect job postings wherever they appear. Because job postings can be published on a wide range of career sites and company pages — not only major job boards — the extension requires broad site access to identify postings using standardized job-posting data. This access is used solely to read job-posting information on pages where the extension is active. It is not used to read or transmit other page content.

Third-party services

JobTrackr writes your saved applications to Google Sheets on your behalf. Your use of Google Sheets is governed by Google's own privacy policy and terms. JobTrackr only sends your job-application data to the specific sheet you connect.

Your choices

• You can remove or disable supported sites at any time in the extension's settings.
• You can disconnect your Google Sheet at any time.
• You can delete any or all of your data directly in your Google Sheet, and clear local data by removing the extension.

Children

JobTrackr is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
